As many liberal propagandists throughout history have learned, sometimes a lie is too good not to be true. Such is the case with the latest liberal smear against the McCain/Palin campaign. The outrage started after a “reporter” allegedly heard someone yell “kill him” when Barack Obama’s name was mentioned at a rally in Pennsylvania. The “reporter,” a guy called David Singleton, reported it as fact, and just like dominoes, “ABC, The Associated Press, The Washington Monthly and MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann reported the claim…”
But Houston, they had a problem.
It seems that, after an investigation by the Secret Service, Mr. Singleton was the only human being who heard this scream of “kill him.” Unless Singleton has dog hearing, he made it up because that was the narrative of the moment.
The spin put out by the Obama campaign and lapped up like turkey gravy on Thanksgiving of late has been how “out of control” and “full of hatred” McCain/Palin rallies have become, mostly by New York Times columnists who’ve never been to one and Keith Olbmermann following orders from his Media Matters masters. So it would seem that Singleton wanted on the bandwagon, and he wasn’t going to let a little thing like it not being true stand in the way of his making news. So he made it up.
Here is what the man in charge of the investigation, Secret Service Agent Bill Slavoski had to say about it.
He also says he was “baffled” by the charge since he was there.
We’re sure all those news agencies will spend as much time correcting the record as they did spreading the lie. And Uberdouche will do a “Special Comment” on how his masters were misled on this one but it was in the hearts of the crowd, so it’s still accurate.
Singleton should be fired immediately.
