Pictures from the October First Friday with Christopher Hitchens.

Thanks to everyone who came out to First Friday with Christopher Hitchens 2 weeks ago, hope you had as much fun as we did.  And a special thanks to Hitchens for coming out and staying as long as he did.  If you didn’t get a chance to talk with him in the 4+ hours he stuck around you have no one to blame but yourself.

Here is a sampling of the pictures from First Friday. You can see a larger version of each of these by clicking on them and can see all the pics from Friday by going to our Flickr page here.

Also, we do have a Facebook group but there are only a few members because we don’t do much with it, frankly. But we do post some pictures from First Friday there a few days before we post all of them, and you can tag people, so there is a small benefit to joining. If you are so inclined you can join the group here. Considering some of the odd groups on Facebook people join, joining our group isn’t all that strange.

Care to comment on Hitchen’s endorsement of Obama? http://www.slate.com/id/2202163/ And now that he’s done this…will you invite him to First Friday again? Also wondering why you haven’t addressed his endorsement with a post on your blog… Seems it would create interesting online discussion…

This is a blog for conservatives AND libertarians, not down the like towers, which is what differentiates us from the Left, where if you dare think something outside the lines you are disowned and attacked. We didn’t discuss his op-ed (not endorsement) because we don’t care, we haven’t discussed anyone’s (even Castro’s of Obama). If anyone is going to vote based upon an endorsement by anyone they have no mind of their own. Hitchens is a great guy and a friend who is entitled to his own opinion. He has a standing invitation to attend and will be invited back as a guest in the future. If we were the Borg it would be different, we are not the Borg, we are individuals.

And we’ve had Bob Barr as a guest, too, so read into that what you will.

“disowned and attacked” ? Huh? Kathleen Parker comes to mind to here, and she received e-mail’s telling her “I hope you get cancer”.

Who the hell is that? There are jackasses everywhere, but as far a policy goes, Kos banned diarists who were pro Hillary, not mention the dancing on people like Tony Snow’s grave. Would look up Kathleen Parker but who cares? Doubt she was shunned as a policy.

Kathleen Parker has long been a friend of Town Hall, and the Conservative columnist for the Post, as well numerous appearances on Fox Noise. The problem with folks that ridiculed Tony Snow’s death, as Molly Ivins death is half witted folks that they fail to recognize that while a liberal or conservatives death is amusing, and I don’t have time for them either.
