Our impressions of the first night of the Democrat’s Convention.

Obama the snob

Here’s the first night of the Democrat Party’s Convention:Nancy Pelosi tells Hillary’s supporters to shut up and don’t be such babies

Join me for a ride you'll never forget and I'll never remember.

Teddy Kennedy’s life story is a lot shorter than most people would remember, like his driving issues and any mention of the woman he killed

Michelle Obama, unlike every other political wife in history, is fond of her husband and thinks he’d be a good President. She and her husband’s life stories are what completely disproves their opinion of America, work hard and get ahead. She also now is not only proud of her country, she loves it…Good for her, only 44 years later than most people do.

Female delegates will cry at the drop of a hat. Michelle’s speech wasn’t a tear-jerker, yet there were a lot of people crying. Over what, we have no idea.

Somehow the Obama children are better at geography than Barack, being able to tell the difference between St. Louis and Kansas City. Seemed like a scripted moment because what kid catches that? And why was it the younger kid? Reminds up of JFK Jr. and his rehearsed salute to his father’s coffin.

So far it’s as much of a joke as we’d expected.

This may be one of the most petty posts I have ever read here. Nancy Pelosi’s remarks were spot on for a change. The PUMA crowd needs to move on,as do the right-wing quacks that are still upset that they don’t get to rip on Hillary all fall. As far as Edward Kennedy, good God! An incident of irresponsible, and arrogant proportions…nearly 40 years ago! Where are the brain tumor jokes, those would be your speed. Senator Kennedy’s voting record speaks volumes to his dedication and perseverance. Have a moment of class, it might make you feel better. Michelle Obama’s speech was a triumph in clarity of who she is. After months of being painted “an elite, racist, angry militant black woman ” by your ilk, you presented herself personally. You did not enter politics last week, you know the drills. And finally, the photo atop the post? “Snob”? Please, I know how thrilled you are with the forgetful, and incoherent candidate you have in John McCain, oh I am sorry he’s a POW, he married a beer heiress…an American success story! And what is Barack worth? He cannot remember the difference of ehtnicitys in the Middle East, he has no grasp of the economy, he does not know what kind of car he drives, how many homes he and his wife own, wants more war, etc. But it’s ok, his campaign will state a noun,a verb, and POW! to excuse it all. John McCain could have the experience of Lincoln’s corpse and it won’t matter if he cannot remember it!

“Suppose you’re a voter, and you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?” Bill Clinton, August 26

You may want to keep an eye on slick Willie. He is getting a bit ornery…
