How difficult is it to get together with people and decide on terms for a revote, especially when they’re supposed to be on the same side? For Democrats it’s impossible. Showing the complete lack of leadership that Congressional Democrats have become famous for, the Florida Democratic Party has thrown up their hands and said they can’t come to an agreement on how to get any sort of system together to allow their convention delegates to count and have thrown the problem square into the lap of the national party.
Florida Democratic chairwoman Karen Thurman, showing how not to lead, said, “A party-run primary or caucus has been ruled out, and it’s simply not possible for the state to hold another election, even if the party were to pay for it.”
That’s the can’t-do spirit that made this country great!
It now falls to Howard “I don’t want to make a decision” Dean and the Rules Committee of the DNC to fend off complete disaster and find a way to make sure Florida has a voice in the nominating process. This should be fun.
