Sen. Clinton once got one issue right

so, of course, she’s running away from her position as quickly as possible.

There was a time Sen. Hillary Clinton supported free trade. It was when she was First Lady Hillary Clinton, and her husband (his name escapes me) signed the North American Free Trade Agreement.

That was then. Now, Hillary’s running for President herself, and channeling former candidate John Edwards. NAFTA, she now insists, is a mistake foisted on the country by George H.W. Bush.

The simple fact is that free trade benefits America and Americans. Most goods and services are cheaper and more plentiful today than they’ve ever been. Meanwhile, more Americans than ever are working.

The Progressive Policy Institute ran the numbers, and they show the U.S. has gained 20 MILLION jobs under NAFTA.

The bottom line is that it’s easy to attack free trade while enjoying its benefits. Any politician can find somebody who’s lost a job because of free trade. But nobody talks to the millions of Americans who’ve gained jobs through free trade, because these people are too darn busy working and making money to complain about their job.

Pity Hillary. NAFTA was one of her husband’s few accomplishments, and she can’t wait to distance herself from it.

I second that. The other thing I give Clinton credit for is cleaning up Welfare. That had to happen under a Dem. pres. otherwise anytime a Rep. tries to cleanup “entitlements” they are screwing the poor. What exactly are you entitled to anyways. The answer should be the freedom to get a job, work hard and not be bothered by the govt.
