Congressman’s wife: Can’t we just put the fact that I pulled a gun on you behind us? Geez!

Love it or it will kill you!Monica Conyers, wife of Congressman John Conyers, is in some potentially hot water, though she thought she’d gotten out of it.

Mrs. Conyers sits on the Detroit Pension Board (just guessing here, but can you say political patronage?) and allegedly made some threats against fellow board members that included a gun and her brothers administering a beating.  But Mrs. Conyers can’t face disciplinary charges at work since a technicality had the board working without official rules governing their conduct (note to Liberals, this is what the world is like in a bureaucracy, it can’t do common sense things that arise unless there is a regulation that directly deals with it).

Needless to say, the board now wants rules governing their conduct, and the farmer wants the barn door shut now that the horses have escaped.

DeDan Milton, aide to embattled Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, is looking to press charges against the wife of the Congressman, himself known for ethical difficulties.

Responding to questions on the potential charges, Mrs. Conyers said, “I thought this was over with.”

After all, what’s a little felony assault amongst co-workers?

Detroit is one seriously screwed up place, and will continue to be that way as long as the residents there tolerate garbage and patronage like this from the people they elected to represent them.  Conyers wins easily every 2 years…His district errodes more and more every day…He is up again this year…Bet they’ve already booked the hall for the victory party.
