FISA and how liberals are putting the US in danger.

She’s blocking safety and scoring points.Imagine a game of telephone, 2 cans connected by a string.  You’re in your house, on both sides of your house are your enemies who would like nothing more than to see you dead.  The string that carries their conversation goes through your yard, they do not live in your house and, therefore, are not subject to the rules your parents set for you, nor are they entitled to the protections your parents offer to people in your house since they are not in your house, so you decide to listen to them talking by tapping into the string.  Not a problem, right?  They aren’t in your house, they aren’t residents of your house, just through a quirk of happenstance their string goes through your yard.  It’s almost like you planned it that way, it’s so fortuitous.

Liberals are your annoying sibling who tries to stop you every time you go to tap that line because they want your room, and the more trouble they can make for you the better their chances of getting your room.

The debate over the FISA bill, no matter what douchebags like Keith Olbermann try to tell you, is just that, listening to a phone conversation between two known terrorist associates, neither of whom are in the US or US citizens, without having to run to court, fill out paperwork that takes about 100 man hours, and get someone to sign off on it.

Through a quirk in technology, mostly that companies in this country invented it, the majority of cell phone calls in the world are routed through the US, no matter where they are made.  We know who our enemies are, we know their voices and phone numbers, all we have to do is tap into their string when they’re on the phone plotting to kill us.  But Democrats don’t want that, not that they want us to be blown up (though some seem to), they want political points scored by attempting to convince people that the government is listening to them on the phone, not a cave to cave call in Pakistan.

This stupidity works with people who aren’t smart, which is why this is such a big issue for the Left.  They believe they and their moronic friend’s idle bar chatter about how the government sucks since they aren’t in control raises to the level of things the government worries about and they want to be left alone.  (If only they would apply this to other areas of their lives, like working and earning money, they’d be conservatives.)

Listen, Hippie, you aren’t important, the government doesn’t even know you exist, nor does it care.  The only way you’re going to have your phone calls to your X dealer tapped is if you fly over to Afghanistan and call him in a neighboring cave and he’s also a terrorist on the side.  Since you probably either don’t have a job or are severely under-employed, you aren’t going to be able to afford that flight, so don’t worry about it.

People really have to realize the government is not all powerful, they pay out billions in fraudulent Medicare claims every year, for crying out loud, they don’t have the time nor the desire to track you.  They do, however, have the time and desire to track people in other countries who are plotting to kill us.  They just won’t have the ability to do so if the Democrats don’t stop putting political scare tactics and appeasing their “hate America” base before the best interests of the country.

Are you guys really this drunk in the afternoon when you get these posts up? The White House and Telcom corporations have admitted they seized information on u.s. citizens without a warrant. In addition, you fail to mention that cell phones purchased in Mexico or Canada can be used in the middle of Kansas and are much more difficult to tap into. You also fail to mention that the FISA laws have, I believe a 72 hour grace period, where you can reach the courts for a warrant after the fact. You also fail to mention that Preznut Bush spoke of wiretaps, “that require a warrant”. You also fail to mention that the FISA courts have rejected only one request in it’s history. Yet, you take the time to mention that liberals don’t have jobs, or are using drugs etc. Please…is that your phone ringing?? It’s probably the pot calling you to tell you your’re black.

I’m going to take a while guess at what your life is like, Wellstone. Single, 40, live alone, shitty job, no real skills, drink nearly every night, pissed off that the world has yet to recognize your brilliance and no real ability to work hard to improve your own lot in life so you’re even more pissed off than a normal person in your position. Son, no one is going to save your from your life but you. You can get busy making that happen or go to your local watering hole and repeat the cycle. Am I close? Don’t think I don’t know your type. Get motivated, get over whatever you’re angry about, get a woman, get a real job, get a hobby, get sober and the most important thing is you get a life. Stop reading leftwing news and taking it as fact. There’s a whole, wonderful world out there that you’re missing and it’s your fault. Knock it off before it’s too late.

larry your a faggot. just because your sure the government isn’t watching you doesn’t mean the rest of us buy that this fascist isn’t listening to everything we say. get a clue. they have no right to listen to anyone without a warrant and judges won’t give them one so they go around the law and spy any way. they need to be stopped before they totally take over. we need a democrat this year to save us from the little hitlers like you and this blog. your going to lose and then we will treat you guys the way you treated us for so long.

Wow Larry, are you the same guy who lives down the street from me? I swear we’ve had coffee a few times. Personal attacks are hardly constructive from someone that knows nothing about me. I am flattered though, you mentioned my “brilliance”. The idea that I am “spreading leftwing news” is funny though. It’s called actually reading the laws, and understanding them, as opposed to not reading them and interpreting them to fit a daily crime committed by the GOP. And the referral to me as”Son”, well, it is good to see you are a fatherly type, the one who offers advice through criticisms. I think I will go slam my bedroom door, cry in my pillow for awhile, and try to do better tomorrow. Spy Eye, thanks for being one around here with some sense.

Larry is a TOOL, he must listen to 10 hours of talk radio a day.

Spy eye is extremely insecure about his masculinity and probably closeted. Get yourself over to Iraq, COWARD. Are you afraid?

For being a conservative site there certainly a lot of Lefties here with opinions on how others should run their lives. Do you really think that the govt. cares what you do? They must all be members of the “me” generation. Larry is right, get a real job and turn your life around. Also, LLP only talks about is to go to Iraq and fight. For not liking the war he/she wants to send more soldiers, I love it. Larry, I’m with you buddy, what you said was well said and spot on.

LLP, seems like spy is on your side, and is pretty typical of your side.
PJ, what else are they going to do, allow people to express their opinions? That’s crazy talk! Just look at the history of communism and fascism, the Left doesn’t work that way. But they’re welcome here, they help make our points in a way we can’t because we use logic.

“LLP only talks about is to go to Iraq and fight. For not liking the war he/she wants to send more soldiers, I love it.”

We obviously need a larger army if we’re going to win in Iraq (and especially if we need to invade Iran). Don’t you guys want to win? If you only claim to be “fighting the war of ideas” from behind the safety of your desk, then you’re not really helping to win at all, and you haven’t earned the right to call others defeatist.

“LLP, seems like spy is on your side, and is pretty typical of your side.”

He is obviously a neo con pretending to be a liberal, the give away is calling someone a fag on the internet is the height of insecure right wing chicken macho fetishism.

In any event, you haven’t answered my question – why shouldn’t we urge war supporters to enlist? I’ve posted data explaining why our volunteer army is over burdened and losing too many of its experienced officers and NCOs to sustain this war endlessly. If we lose in Iraq, realize that cowardly young Republicans like yourselves are responsible.

Also, Larry’s off topic rant about how the world has yet to recognize your brilliance is a textbook example of this:

Hey, all they needed to do (GOP) was drop the immunity segment and it would have been done, but Bushie said he would veto it. That’s where the problem lies, along with the liar. No problem, no immunity and still listen in to private conversations, no problem at all.

You must be a trial lawyer looking for a big pay day because that is who the Democrats are beholden to. Just look at the fact that they’re the biggest donors to the D’s. Connection?

  12. February 16, 2008 at 3:10 pm

Funny isn’t it? You have a few truthseekers around, and they are attacked personally, and you get flying monkeys here who just slap eachother on the back and sat “thatta Boy!!” But that’s conservative mentality, I got mine, and I am sure as the day is long, I will never help anyone get theirs. That’s a patriotic position to take isn’t it? The fact that they continually ignore laws that were written by Republicans and Democrats is a huge part of the problem. And the corporate friendly Dems who allowed this bs to pass in the Senate are also a problem. http://www.boldfastblog.com has the list of donors (telcom companies), that donated to the campaigns of those who voted in favor of immunity. Conservatives, like this site, who favor Preznut Bush, and his crime family’s polices are similiar to the folk who say “Freedumb isn’t Free”. LLP, makes a point, if you support the “war on error”, sign up, or go work for Infragard or Blackwater, or Verizon. I suppose it’s easy for the flying monkeys to just go along and agree with corporations, afterall they granted the same rights as an individual. I suppose it’s also easy to call liberals “America Haters”, cause when laws don’t suit their bs, they attempt to change them, and those pesky “Progressive Patriots” hang around and say wait a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry guys, your responses aren’t as friendly as Steven Weber.

Oh, and PJ, Larry, do I actually know you guys? You seem sound so much like the same person, I think his name is….
