This is a Code Pink protest?

In DC today, Code Pink, fresh from their loss in Berkeley, staged, or attempted to stage a protest today outside of an Army recruiting center.  We use the word attempted because there were only 7 of them and no one paid any attention to them as they screamed out “Stop, in the name of love” and encouraged people to “kiss, don’t enlist.”

Judging by the reaction of the construction workers directly across the street, not generally known for their discriminatory taste in ogling women, the choice between kissing and enlisting the protesters, the Army had a very good day.

On another note, while you’re here, why not check out our weekly podcast? It’s full of politics, news of the weird and a lot of humor, including orgininal “commercial” breaks written and delivered by us. Just click here and make sure your speakers are turned up because it starts automatically. Don’t worry, it’s work safe, but just barely. New shows posted every Tuesday, unless Monday is a holiday, then they’re up on Wednesday.

PS: There are people in the background holding flags and countering these nuts.  They were respectful, which is much more than can be said about the Pink-os.

I would re-enlist if the alternative was kissing one of them.

What a disgrace. Glad to see there were some good people there to counter them.

Love the line about construction workers. I’m one and I’d pass on those freaks.

One question. Do these losers have jobs or are they like Chelsea Clinton and get to take time off for political causes?

Would you hire them? They live a commune here that Code Pink pays for and feeding them an oat bag of granola daily is pretty cheap.

I would never hire them. These are the type of people that would claim they are “overworked” and would sue at the drop of a hat or go on stike. They do like picket lines.
