Chris Matthews should get to the doctor.

Tell ‘em, Donald!Last night, MSNBC’s line-up of Democratic Party cheerleaders unveiled a new routine: The Leg Tingle.

While recapping Barack Obama’s victory speech (which is kind of like dancing on the green after a tap-in putt since Clinton didn’t try in the Potomac Primary), Matthews said this:

“I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often.”

First of all, this could be a stroke, so Chris should probably get to a doctor just to make sure.

Secondly, Matthews follows up with this:

“No, seriously. It’s a dramatic event. He speaks about America in a way that has nothing to do with politics. It has to do with the feeling we have about our country. And that is an objective assessment. John McCain is a hero. I thought it was very appropriate that Barack Obama extended that fact…”

So Matthews listens to a speech full of platitudes, that says nothing but feel-good gobbledygook and nearly has a stroke due to the joy it gave him.  Meanwhile, no one has any clue what Obama will do if he’s elected President and he still refuses to do tough interviews on the Sunday shows.

This is the perfect illustration of the difference between Liberals and Conservatives, one goes with their feelings, without regard to logic, the other goes with logic without regard to feelings.

I don’t know about you, but I’ll take a leader guided by logic any day of the week.  Feelings should not guide policy, common sense and logic should.
