How long till Al Gore makes a movie about global cooling, starts making money off of this?

Environmentalists and devout followers of Pope Gorus the VI are about to have their faith tested by scientists who don’t DRINK IT!!! I AM AL GORE AND I AM ALWAYS RIGHT! DRINK IT!agree with the orthodoxy of the Church of Global Warming.  By scientists we mean heretics, clearly, because everyone knows that all scientists agree the world is getting warmer and it’s the fault of humans, right?  Well these guys must have missed a memo…

A group of scientists are seeking funding to determine whether or not the Earth is cooling.  Yes, you read correctly, they want to see if the Earth is cooling, and they think the Earth’s temperature has something to do with solar activity, which may be slowing again like it did during the “little ice age.”   Seems these hacks think the Earth’s temperature has something to do with that big ball of fire in the sky that provides all the the planet’s heat.  Crazy talk!

Canadian scientists are seeking additional funding for more and better “eyes” with which to observe our sun, which has a bigger impact on Earth’s climate than all the tailpipes and smokestacks on our planet combined.

Expect this to either be attacked by the usual suspects on the Left, or ignored completely by the media.  Both have invested too much of their time, effort and credibility in global warming being real to allow news of this theory, which is based in actual science, to spread.

But sane people have to admire scientists who dare speak out against Al Gore and him minions and actually seek the truth, not just accept manufactured conventional wisdom because it’s the easies path to secure unlimited funding.

If you don’t have the time to read the whole article, which you should, just read this:

R. Timothy Patterson, professor of geology and director of the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Center of Canada’s Carleton University, says that “CO2 variations show little correlation with our planet’s climate on long, medium and even short time scales.”

Rather, he says, “I and the first-class scientists I work with are consistently finding excellent correlations between the regular fluctuations of the sun and earthly climate. This is not surprising. The sun and the stars are the ultimate source of energy on this planet.”

It would seem that you shouldn’t throw away your parka just yet.

I’m not a scientist, I just play one on the Net (an Al Gore creation, too.) I said the samething to the blog post from 2/5 about China and the coldest winter in 100 years.

We clearly need Gore to fly around more on his private jet to raise the temperature over there.

If we’re lucky it would be a one-way trip.

There seems to be a large kerfuffle over whether or not climate change is affected by human interaction. It triggers fairly comical squabbling by those qualified and those unqualified alike. It is true, whether or not by our involvement, that climate changes and we could find ourselves heating up or slowly heading towards an ice age.

Whatever you think about the part that humanity plays in climate change we must surely allow for the fact the we live in a fantastically diverse eco-system and we must walk in step with it. History shows us that the breakdown of civilisations has often been tied into using and abusing our natural environment instead of working with it (I can find examples but right now I’m at work).

The way we live in our individualistic, competitive culture where bigger is better, too much is not enough just is not sustainable. Our fast growing consumption of natural resources cannot be denied and we in the west certainly enjoy far more than our fair share.

If we want to see sustainable economic development in the impoverished parts of the world then we must be prepared to sacrifice our greed, to enjoy less choice and work alongside our natural environment, not try to enslave it to work for our needs – in the long term it will not.

This I think should give more motivation to changing our lifestyles – not the rather unfortunate scape goat that is “Climate Change”.
