Environmentalists and devout followers of Pope Gorus the VI are about to have their faith tested by scientists who don’t agree with the orthodoxy of the Church of Global Warming. By scientists we mean heretics, clearly, because everyone knows that all scientists agree the world is getting warmer and it’s the fault of humans, right? Well these guys must have missed a memo…
A group of scientists are seeking funding to determine whether or not the Earth is cooling. Yes, you read correctly, they want to see if the Earth is cooling, and they think the Earth’s temperature has something to do with solar activity, which may be slowing again like it did during the “little ice age.” Seems these hacks think the Earth’s temperature has something to do with that big ball of fire in the sky that provides all the the planet’s heat. Crazy talk!
Canadian scientists are seeking additional funding for more and better “eyes” with which to observe our sun, which has a bigger impact on Earth’s climate than all the tailpipes and smokestacks on our planet combined.
Expect this to either be attacked by the usual suspects on the Left, or ignored completely by the media. Both have invested too much of their time, effort and credibility in global warming being real to allow news of this theory, which is based in actual science, to spread.
But sane people have to admire scientists who dare speak out against Al Gore and him minions and actually seek the truth, not just accept manufactured conventional wisdom because it’s the easies path to secure unlimited funding.
If you don’t have the time to read the whole article, which you should, just read this:
R. Timothy Patterson, professor of geology and director of the Ottawa-Carleton Geoscience Center of Canada’s Carleton University, says that “CO2 variations show little correlation with our planet’s climate on long, medium and even short time scales.”
Rather, he says, “I and the first-class scientists I work with are consistently finding excellent correlations between the regular fluctuations of the sun and earthly climate. This is not surprising. The sun and the stars are the ultimate source of energy on this planet.”
It would seem that you shouldn’t throw away your parka just yet.
