Which one is running, anyway?

Don’t make me get all myself on you!Senator Barack Obama has his hands full these days.  Not only is he running for President against Hillary Clinton and been under constant attack from her surrogates, he’s been bombarded with bogus attacks and straight-up lies from the ultimate surrogate, Bill Clinton.

Bill has seemingly been given a free hand to say whatever he wants against Obama and has not been bound by reality in doing so.

From the “fairy tale” comment to the claim of voter suppression in Nevada, Bill will stop at nothing to aid his wife in destroying Obama.

On a side not, IF Bill and Chelsea did witness the attempted suppression of the vote in Nevada they claimed, why did he not turn right around and demand the name of the union boss doing it?  He was, after all, right there, close enough to hear it.  Why would he wait until giving a speech to let the world know?  No one can command the media quite like Bill, why not use that to do what is right (if it happened) and actually help those who were threatened rather than hold that nugget of information until he gave a speech, long after the ability to stop the injustice had passed?

And why not file a complaint about the incident?  There is much the former President could have, and should have done in the event that encounter was real.  The fact that he did nothing, well, you do the math.

Obama is finally having enough of the Clinton tag team and striking back.

The morning on Good Morning America, Obama finally said some of what people who have been watching this election and have not been Clinton Kool-Aid drinkers for the last 15 years have know, Bill Clinton is full of it.

“You know the former president, who I think all of us have a lot of regard for, has taken his advocacy on behalf of his wife to a level that I think is pretty troubling,” Obama said during his first morning television interview since coming in second in Nevada. “He continues to make statements that are not supported by the facts — whether it’s about my record of opposition to the war in Iraq or our approach to organizing in Las Vegas.

“This has become a habit, and one of the things that we’re going to have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he’s making statements that are not factually accurate,” Obama added.

In other words, Bill Clinton is lying.  (Hope you were sitting down for that bit of shocking news.)

But for Obama to expect simply throwing down the gauntlet and expecting the media to do their job when it comes to the Clintons shows a lack of understanding of how they operate.  No one in the media is shocked that the Clintons lie, you might as well put our a press release saying the sun rises in the east because you’d get just as much coverage.

Obama needs surrogates out there on an hourly basis talking about his non-stop, and adding to the list as they day goes on.  If you think they’re about to stop you’re crazy!  Those robo-calls into Nevada that continually mentioned Hussein as being Obama’s middle name were just the beginning.  They will appeal to bigotry and hatred, stopping at nothing to win.  This is how the Clintons roll.  And if you aren’t willing to stand up to it with everything you have, they will roll over you.

His prominence in this race really leaves you wondering which Clinton is running for President. And if, God forbid, she wins, what will his role be?  He’s not exactly the type to take a back seat to anyone.  (Make your own Bill Clinton in the back seat joke.)
