You can’t say that! Bill O’Reilly and “lynching.”

 The fascists on the Left are on a witch hunt for the head of anyone who disagrees with them, but they’re failing miserably, and we think it’s great. 

Emboldened by claiming the head of Don Imus, one of their own politically, but a head none the less, they have tried to get Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly to stuff and put over their mantle.  Media Matters, the Clinton/Soros founded spin machine, monitors every word everyone not on the fascist Left says in the hopes of finding something they can take out of context to give them their prize.  Again, they continually fail.  Lucky for them that continued failure is by no means going to have any sway over their fund raising, they’ve got mega-rich people who’ve sheltered their cash in trusts and off-shore accounts footing the endless bill.

Their current attempt to get Bill O’Reilly stems for a comment he made while actually defending Michelle Obama’s stupid comments.  He dared use the word “lynching” while making a reference to a woman who happened to be black.  The comment and context were clear, but it was a chance for Media Matters and their partners on the web and at MSNBC to go after him again.

It doesn’t matter if you like O’Reilly or not, who cares, but this raises an important question: Are we such weak-spined individuals always ready to take offense that there are certain words that simply can’t be said in context if they are about people of certain races?

Bill said, “And I don’t want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there’s evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that’s how she really feels — that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever — then that’s legit. We’ll track it down.”

It was in response to a caller who was bashing Mrs. Obama for saying this was the first time in her adult life she was proud of her country.  Bill actually displayed restraint and has since defended her many times over.

But the fact that he used the word “lynching” has all the Liberal’s panties in a bunch because douchebag racists (Democrats, by the way) used to lynch blacks in the south because, well, they were racists douchebags.

The word itself is not racists, you can say it all you want about a white person and no one would think anything of it.  But it’s considered racially insensitive to say it about a black person because of the history of it.  Isn’t it time we get past this crap?

It’s a word with a very specific meaning, and was aptly used by O’Reilly.  Most other languages have genders for things, just go try to learn German and you’ll see what we’re talking about.  Are we going to have to have races for our language?  Are we going to have to say one thing about a person of one race and use a different word for the same thing for someone of another?  Are we not going to be able to say a friend of ours is “slaving away at their job” if they’re black or Jewish but can say it about anyone else?  Are we going to have to rename the sport of surfing because surfs were oppressed by their masters in the Middle Ages?  This politically correct garbage is going too far, people have to stand up to it.

The Left-Wing Hate Machine is calling O’Reilly a racist every chance they get, but they are the true racists.  They assume adult humans can’t understand context so they take offense for someone based on their race.  Assuming Michelle Obama couldn’t and shouldn’t have to hear that word in any context because one of the things it refers to in human history was a bunch of racists being evil is to not give her the credit any human being deserves, let alone one educated at Harvard and Yale. 

People like Bob Cesca are the true racists, incapable of seeing an person for the person they are without categorizing them by the pigment in their skin.  The comments on the post are made by pigs as well, but they are mindless lemmings, it’s the leaders of this mob that are seeking to mentally lynch Bill O’Reilly (yes, we said it, and they are) who should be ashamed of themselves and run out of town.  But that won’t happen.  George Soros has too much money sheltered around the world and an agenda that has yet to be realized (thankfully) for him to stop now. 

So the Keith Olbermanns of the world will keep being “offended” and calling people names…and cashing those checks. 

Berkeley reacts to sunlight and the possibility of lost tax dollars.

Two of the City Council Members who voted to call the United States Marines “unwelcome intruders” have decided they were wrong and want a do-over.  Well, they didn’t really come to the realization that they were wrong, they came to the realization that the rest of the country was aware of what they’d done and didn’t like it.  Plus, Senator Jim DeMint was going to pull all the cash they get from Washington, and everyone knows the way to a Liberal’s heart is through the tax dollars of others.

While the San Francisco Chronicle characterizes those disgusted by the action of Berkeley as “the wrath of the nation’s right wing,” it was hardly such.  Although, to the Chronicle, Mao, Stalin and Hitler were squishes. 

Now the two Council Members want to pass a resolution that says they’re opposed to the war but support the troops. 

Isn’t it a little late for that?  You can’t un-spit on someone, can you? 

We’ve already cover this “We support the troops but oppose everything they do” before here.  We just hope Senator DeMint continues his move to strip them of our money.

Berkely, California is Un-American and Un-Patriotic

Since Liberals are always whining about how Conservatives call them Un-Patriotic and Un-American when we don’t, we thought we’d just come right out and say it this time.  If you want to know what the American Left really supports, what they believe in and what they root for, look no further than Berkeley, California.

Long a haven for insanity and stupidity, those two attributes molded into the modern “progressive” movement there in the 1960’s, and the world has been suffering their logical vacuum ever since.

Their latest assult on the American way of life is an 8 to 1 vote by the city council calling for a Marine recruting station to leave town, designating them as “uninvited and unwelcome intruders.” 

In addition to supporting out troops by attempting to deny them their rights and calling them unwelcome (and don’t give us that crap about how liberals support the troops, they just oppose recruiters because recruiters are solidiers, therefore, troops, ass), the city government, again 8 to 1, voted in favor of Code Pink, the anti-American front group hell-bent on an anti-freedom, socialist agenda and granted them a parking space in front the Marine’s store-front and a noise permit so they can protest more easily.

The only member of the city council with enough brains and balls to vote against this stupidity was Gordon Wozniak, the rest are wastes of human flesh.

Mayor Douchebag McGee, er, Tom Bates said, “I believe in the Code Pink cause. The Marines don’t belong here, they shouldn’t have come here, and they should leave.”

This IS the American Left, this is the modern Democratic party, this is MoveOn.org, Kos, Huffington, all of them.  This is the base of the former party of FDR and Kennedy.  FDR and Kennedy couldn’t even raise as much money as Mike Gravel in a bid for President now because they stood firm against enemies of this nation and actually supported our troops, our freedoms, our liberties and our individuality to a degree unacceptable by the Left today.

Events of this nature will either be the beginning of the end of the Left, or the beginning of the end of this country.  It all depends upon what happens next.

Cynthia McKinney’s back, and hoping to be the Green Party candidate for president.

Yes, Cynthia McKinney, the former congresswoman who assaulted a Capitol Hill police officer for not recognizing her. Somehow we doubt that being the Green presidential candidate will result in her being recognized by anyone else…(seems green is not only the color of envy, but the color of green with envy for class warfare.)

The Corner rips Dick Durbin a well deserved new one.

Illinois Senator Dick “our troops are like Nazis” Durbin can often be found on CSPAN in late evening hours of the day delivering rambling political speeches no one watches or cares about for what seems like forever.  Seriously, when the Senate comes back into session, flip on CSPAN at 11:00 for 2 weeks straight and you will see him a lot.  Probably more than his family does, which may not be a bad thing for them if you listen to his speeches.

Anyway, he was on the floor yesterday complaining about Senator Jim DeMint taking issue with Democratic Leadership’s (of which Durbin is number 2) push to vote on the omnibus bill without having had a realistic chance to read it.  Congress often votes for things without reading them, generally things that are forced through by Leadership with friendly sounding names, because if people (especially the public) had a chance to learn what was in them they would be outraged (see the immigration debate).

DeMint wanted to read a bill that contained hundreds of billions of dollars in domestic spending to see HOWthat money was being spent.  Durbin didn’t like that, which means it’s much worse than we thought.

So Durban took to the floor and said:

“For 46 hours and 8 minutes-the Senator from South Carolina has had an opportunity to go to the Internet and see this bill in its entirety, with his staff, and to read every page… Please, do not come to the floor and suggest that this is a mystery bill which no one has seen. For 2 days, this has been posted on the Internet . You have had your chance. Every Senator has had a chance.”

Well, never take anything Dick Durban says at face value because that value is $0. 

This is where The Corner steps in.  They busted out a calculator and did the math.  The 3,417 page bill breaks down this way:

According to Senator Durbin’s math: A Senator that downloaded the bill when it was posted at 12:15 a.m. Monday morning would have had to:

• Read nearly 1.25 pages of the bill every minute for 46 hours and 8 minutes,
• Not sleep,
• Not eat,
• Take no bathroom breaks.

If you’ve ever had the misfortune of reading a bill even close to that long, not a bill that is short and to the point, we’re sorry.  Congress should not move to ban waterboarding until they ban anyone having to read legislation!  That’s true torture.

Thank God Harry Reid wasn’t a Founding Father!

 

Surrender, er, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, in a desperate attempt to appease his party’s nut-job base, today said the surge in Iraq has failed.  Reid, seemingly always read to appease anyone other than those who seek to keep us safe, said:

“The surge hasn’t accomplished its goals.  We’re involved, still, in an intractable civil war.”

He said nothing about the information upon which he was basing his statement because even the to Mainstream Media, Kos and George Soros aren’t considered reliable sources.

Reid went on to say that water is dry, snow is hot and he has not made a fortune from corrupt land deals. 

Could you imagine what the world would be like if Harry Reid and people who thought like he does were our Founding Fathers?  The first sign of any trouble, and there was a lot of trouble in the early years of the Revolution, and Reid would’ve called for surrender, if he would’ve even voted for Independence in the first place. 

Murtha and Obey will spend money on ANYTHING except our troops.

Two of the biggest porkers in the House of Representatives are threatening to cut off funds to our troops unless the President agrees to a surrender date in Iraq.  David Obey and Jack Murtha, two of the more corrupt members of the Democratic caucus, then tried to blame the Pentagon for any shortfalls that may happen, accusing the military of using “scare tactics” when they pointed out that money doesn’t grow on trees simply because those two send it to their cronies in their district like it does.

Murtha, who made an ass and a defendant out of himself for libel by proclaiming our Marines cold-blooded murderers before in investigation was complete, was a hero of the uber-Left.  But with the war’s success and a closer examination of his earmarks for donors, his image needs more tarn-x than usual. 

Obey has been in Congress for a long time, which translates into a huge ego and the smell of corruption. 

But that doesn’t stop the media from taking these men seriously because they have the power to hurt people, hurt our soldiers.  And they seemingly have the desire, too.

Their argument, and that of Speaker Pelosi, is that President Bush can have all the money he needs for the war as long as he agrees to their desire to lose the war by setting and advertising an firm withdrawal date from Iraq.  Well, Presidents can’t fight a war like that, nor should they be expected to.  Members of Congress were elected to Congress, one of many, whereas the President is elected by the entire nation to lead.    The Napoleonic Complexes of these little men is a large as their egos.

There is something fundamentally wrong with a party that refuses to accept, acknowledge or support success in the war in Iraq.  To them, there is no proof, no fact on ground, nothing that will get them to change their minds or their actions.  They are very much like the Zax, without the charm and good looks.  In fact, here is video of their press conference when confronted by success.

We would not be surprised to hear them say they are taking their ball and going home.  That would be perfect were it not for the fact that they have cronies to feed, so they would return.

How left can you go? It’s left-limbo time!

Do you remember the conservative hero Dianne Feinstein, and how she ruthlessly fought for conservative principles and ideals?  No reason you should, since she hasn’t. However, the California Democratic Party apparently disagrees.

In 2006, the Democratic party declared that its 2000 VP candidate, Senator Joseph Lieberman, was no longer good enough to run as a Democrat. Perhaps this will become a yearly ritual.

Now the California Democratic Party is introducing a motion to censure Senator Feinstein for agreeing with Republicans too often.  After identifying a whopping five votes, (two of those were for Attorney General Mukasey, one for FISA, and two to confirm Southwick so really it’s three votes) they have moved forward with a censure motion based on “ignoring Democratic principles and falling so far below the standard of what we expect of our elected officials.”

What’s that you say?  Surely this is nothing but a bunch of leftist kooks (not that they all aren’t), and they must be fringe group of the Democratic Party?  It depends on what you call fringe.

This resolution is being touted at prominent liberal website Huffington Post and others, and is backed by Rick Jacobs, the California State Chairman of failed candidate Howard Dean.

It becomes move evident everyday what Regan meant when he said “You didn’t leave the Democratic Party, it left you.”

Marion Barry is a casual crack user, not an addict! Now say you’re sorry.

It seems that some people aren’t allowed to express personal opinions if they hold certain jobs. 

Washington Post music critic Tim Page apologized to Marion Barry for calling him a crack addict in an email last week.  For the 3 of you what are unaware, Marion Barry was videotaped smoking crack by the FBI while Mayor of Washington, DC back in 1990.  Barry served time and has since be elected several times to various positions in DC government.  Seems a little thing like tooting the rock only endeared him to the crime-ridden city.

Anyway, were Mr. Page a news reporter outrage may be warranted, but only may.  Reporters are humans who have their own opinions.  The problem with them comes when they allow those opinions to enter into their professional reporting.  For an example of this see any edition of the New York Times and the news section of the Washington Post. But a music critic? 

This seems to be taking it a little far, don’t you think?  And why apologize for something that is essentially true?  Marion Barry has been videotaped smoking crack!  Maybe he’s not rocking the rock currently, so the word addict might be in accurate, but wrong word choice is faux pas, not a crime.  Smoking crack is a crime!

Here is what Page wrote:

“Must we hear about it every time this crack addict attempts to rehabilitate himself with some new-and typically half-witted-political grandstanding?” the e-mail said. “I’d be grateful if you would take me off your mailing list. I cannot think of anything the useless Marion Barry could do that would interest me in the slightest, up to and including overdose.”

Barry’s aide said Page should be fired for that email.  If they think having an opinion is a fire-worthy offence they must be smoking crack over there.

Hey Naomi Wolfe, you make us cry, too. But our tears are caused by laughter.

Wow, rare is it that this sort of paranoia has been seen, especially since the X-Files went off the air, but former Al Gore dresser Naomi Wolfe is not only in need of some help, she’s a magnet for lunatics in their tin foil hats.

In her latest blathering rant she recounts all these people who burst into tears out of fear of getting on a “list” if they speak out against the government.  What this “list” is remains unclear, but if there is one surely Wolfe is on it.  Since she’s alive and walking the streets, giving speeches and selling books, it must not be a very effective “list.”  (But the country is run by Nazis anyway, though again, seemingly inefficient Nazis.)

And that’s the rub, Wolfe’s ability to spout this conspiracy garbage is the best argument against the existence of it.  She lists a bunch of people who either spoke out against the war or were about to who were “shot in the head.”  How she knows that people in the middle of a war were murdered she doesn’t say, she just ascribes motive and lost future actions to the departed because it’s easy to assign potential actions to the dead since they can’t defend themselves.

She recounts all these people coming up to her on her book tour who bust out crying out fear they are going to be taken away or put on a list that she never defines.  She is so genuine and honest that she uses descriptions about some of the people like they’re “probably a Republican” but makes no effort to explain her clairvoyance.  Who the hell is so paranoid that they buy a book Naomi Wolfe writes, let alone starts crying at the thought of it?  If any of these people are real they probably cry at TV commercials and over spilt milk.  Seriously, how could you function if you were like this?

She also, in a fit of Jack Murthaian genius, declares the Blackwater soldiers guilty of murder “in cold blood” before any investigation or trial.  This opens her up to a lawsuit like the one Murtha is now facing for his false accusations.  Isn’t it odd home the Left is always willing to ascribe guilt on anyone Republican or military related before a trial, but remain mum on accused criminals at home?  We can’t recall the liberal column calling for “the criminal William Jefferson to resign from Congress.”  Then again, he’s one of them and that’s all that matter.

So stop crying to Naomi Wolfe, people!  If there were this huge conspiracies list out there she wouldn’t be able to sell you her book!  Of course if she couldn’t sell you on the list she probably wouldn’t be able to sell you the book, and that’s more important to her, so the truth be damned. 

On second thought, crying when you see her might be the way to go.  Most people are upset when they discover they’ve been ripped off.

Carter exposes hypocrisy of the Left in this country, if you actually take time to think about what he and they say.

Former (and thank God for that!) President Jimmy Carter, fast on his way to Ramsey Clark-dom, knows disaster the way Bo knew everything in those old Nike ads, very well.  But the noted anti-Semite can’t quite wrap his mind around the fact that the United States rejected him and his high inflation, double-digit inflation and cowering in the face of radical Islamo-fascists, so he does what any child would do when faced with rejection, he strikes out.

Sure, he seems harmless enough while being video taped hammering nails for Habitat for Humanity, and that part of his post-Presidency we have no problem with, particularly the fact that it’s post!  (Again, thank God he was a one-termer!)

But he can’t help buy do the bidding of his source of money, though he’s old and would seemingly have enough.  So he spends his time ranting like like a crazy man in an old folks home, except the mainstream media can’t get enough of it.  See, former Presidents used to conduct themselves with dignity and NOT spout off about the successors.  Jimmy can’t help himself, there’s too much money and attention in it.

His latest rants come about President Bush, Vice-President Cheney and Secretary of State Rice.  He knows them, even though he doesn’t, he knows them.  He knows what they think, what they say, and how history views them.

In that last point, Carter shows his delusions a little because he seems completely unaware of how history views him, as a failed President whose ego never recovered from one of the most sound rejections of a sitting President in the history of this great country.  The nation didn’t want him, the nation knew he failed them horribly and he had no plan to make anything better.  Telling Americans to put on a sweater in the winder because it cost too much to heat their houses was not what people wanted to hear. 

In interviews with the BBC (he loves complaining about the US to and in foreign countries), he attack VP Cheney as a disaster, a topic on which he is an expert.  It’s all on speculation, it’s not like he still (if ever) has friends in the White House who dish him the inside dope on inner workings there.  Then he claims knowledge of what is happening in Secretary Rice’s head, though he seems unaware of what’s happening in his.

Then he unleashes his crystal ball treatment of President Bush and our military on the issue of torture.  When asked he said this about it:

“I don’t think it. I know it, certainly.”

So Jimmy Carter knows with certainty that the US is torturing people!  How? 

Well, we would suggest it is because the media interviews him and then broadcasts that interview on networks shown in airports around the world where the audience is trapped, but we digress.

He knows it because, well, he just knows it.  You would think that with those powers to see things not in front of him, he would not have been such a horrible, horrible, failed President, but whatever.

The real story here is Carter is equating our troops with some of the worst regimes in the history of the world, much like many members of the Democratic Leadership in the Congress have.  Without saying it, he is calling them Nazi, amongst other things.

How can we say that?  Who else would torture?  You can say the Bush Administration is ordering this “torture,” but, if you accept that (which we do not), who would be carrying out this torture?  It’s not like Bush and Cheney fly off to Cuba to attach car batteries to prisoners on their off-nights.  Therefore, it would have to be the military doing this at Gitmo, or at least standing by as it happens by the CIA.  Either way, this would smack of the “they were only following orders” defense the tried to Nazis use.  To believe Carter is to believe the worst about the very people the Left in this country claims to support by wanting to bring them home.  And to believe that, what do they want to bring them home to?  A war crimes tribunal?  Certainly you can’t have a heroes welcome for people you think capable of such brutality.

So what does the Left really mean when they say they support our troops?  Can you really support something when you reject everything they stand for and do?  If they really believe our military is committing all these atrocities and torture, what about them do they support?  How could you support someone you think complicit in the brutalization of a nation and its people?  It’s really one or the other, Liberals.  So which is it?

The Democrats are really falling apart in part because of the blogs out there who won’t let them get away with their lies about Rush Limbaugh.  The conservative blogosphere is turning into what Media Matters and Moron.org claim to be, only with the actual truth on their side. 

Never before have so many Left-Wing groups been discredited so thoroughly and at once.  Please, keep talking because we know our side isn’t going to shut up!  And we aren’t pushing for these organizations to be shut down, our side is simply pointing out what they’re doing to the point that the market will simply ignore them.  You have to love the free-market.

Reason #95624386 that unions are worthless

One of our contributors sent this along to us because, well, she was stuck in liberal hell and needed to vent.  We hope she lives through the keynote address tonight by Hanoi Jane Fonda.

Being a masochist (perhaps spurred by a lifetime of supporting the cubs), I spent a lovely afternoon at a liberal women’s conference (www.willwand.org), capped off by a dinner on “working women, working families” that featured a speaker from the AFL-CIO. 3 glasses of wine later, the conversation wasn’t any better, running the gamut from the Employee Free Choice Act (good!) to comprehensive health care reform (wait for ‘09, boys and girls!) to SiCKO (brilliant!) to universal health care (it works in Europe!) Just as I was about to slit my wrists with a plastic knife to end my misery, the dinner concluded, so I asked the AFL-CIO rep a question.

Me: “Excuse me — if your organization opposes tax cuts because they allegedly offer targeted benefits to a few at the expense of the many, how can you support trade barriers and tariffs to protect a select few industries like textiles? Aside from hurting the poor disproportionately, aren’t you doing the exact same thing by making everyone pay more for t-shirts to keep a small number of jobs? How is that any different?”

Union wench: “I don’t want to talk to you right now.”

Seriously? That’s like getting stood up by an ugly guy. But in her defense, it must suck to be called out for being a hypocrite.

Speaker Pelosi: Military Expert.

With her usual fair-mindedness, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi released a statement assessing the military progress in Iraq.  It includes:

“The Bush-Petraeus plan of 130,000 Americans in Iraq for 10 more years is not a reduction in our footprint; it is an insult to the intelligence of the American people to call that a new direction.”

Seems Pelosi is now some sort of military expert and that she prefers the word of a retired General who hasn’t served in Iraq since the early 90’s and was in Europe, that hot-bed of the Middle East, until he retired.

“This status quo policy was rejected by General James Jones, whose recent report stated that significant force reductions are possible and that we must reduce our military footprint in Iraq.”

What we’re up against…

This is how September 11th is commemorated in San Francisco.  Who is surprised by this, show of hands?  Okay, keep them up until we count them all.  Okay, good.  And we’re done.  Zero.

But they support our troops, right?

What do you get when soldiers speak out in SUPPORT of our efforts in Iraq?  You get a look at the REAL liberals, progressives or whatever they call themselves these days to hide the fact that they simply do not support anything this country stands for.

Enter a new group called Freedom’s Watch that is running commercials featuring soldiers who, now get this, support our military efforts in Iraq and talk about the importance of them continuing. 

No one should really need the consequences of pulling out now spelled out for them, so the only option left is they WANT those options, they SUPPORT those options.  They want Iraq in chaos so they can run on it, which is why Democrats have now shifted their talking points from “We’ve lost” to “We can beat them militarily, but we’re losing politicially.”  Well, we aren’t losing on either front, but the closest we’re coming to losing is politically AT HOME THANKS TO THE THIRD COLUMN in this country that would like nothing more than to see us lose. 

What do we base this on?  How dare we write such words?

First, some context.  The video below is one of the several ads Freedom’s Watch has produced and is currently running.  Check it out, it’s only 30 seconds, then read on.

Strong ad, no matter what side you’re on.  Andrew Robinson is someone of whom we should all be proud, we at First Friday are.

But having a soldier speak anything other than the DailyKos/DNC line of loss, retreat and surrender brings out the true colors of the leaders of the liberals.  The comments below, a sampling from all the Freedom’s Watch videos, do not reflect ALL of the Left, but it certainly is the mindset of their leaders, which is even more disturbing.

Greenpeace vs. Ted Kennedy

We aren’t fans of either side in this battle, though the people supporting Cape Wind have a point; cheap energy is a good thing.  Anyway, this video is pretty good because it exposes the hypocrisy of the Kennedys.

Just because they get rich off the poor doesn’t mean they don’t love the poor. They absolutely love them, they make them rich!

One of the Left’s Leni Riefenstahl’s, Robert Greenwald (with the aid of paranoid fascist Senator Bernie “fairness doctrine” Sanders) is at it again, leading the dangerous, anti-American Left-Wing hate machine to attempt to silence any and everyone who dare speak an opposing opinion or have a differing thought.

The irony of this is that the lemmings on the Left will follow these people over the ledge of Socialism without realizing that they are making these people rich. They won’t question the Kennedy family, which has avoided paying the inheritance tax through trust funds, the Gore family, who uses more electricity than everyone they know put together, Michael Moore, who owned and made money off of Halliburton and pharmaceutical company stocks, and all they other hypocrites they worship as heroes.

The point they are trying to “make” is so worthless that’s it’s not worth refuting.  We just wonder what these who are at the tail end of the lemming congo line think of the fact that their “leaders” are, exactly like the old Soviet leaders, exactly what they preach against.  Goes to show that some people simply need to be led.

Hey bud, let’s oppress!

As First Friday recently reported, respected economist and historian Sean Penn conducted a landmark meeting with his fellow anti-American communist Hugo Chavez.  While the American left wing continues to fawn over Chavez and his authoritarian regime, they conveniently ignore important facts about his affect on Venezuelan society.  In fact, their foremost reason for supporting him - a perceived leveling of incomes between the nation’s rich and poor as a result of his policies - is among the most transparent of untruths they willingly swallow in order to fashionably side with a communist and terrorist-sympathizer against the United States.

As the Economist reports, “thanks to economic growth and social programmes, the government claims that only 30% of Venezuelan families now live in poverty, down from 55% at the peak in 2003. But according to a new report by the central bank, income inequality has widened slightly under Mr Chávez…“

Ironically, one of the left’s main attacks on the Bush administration - and subsequent reasons for supporting ‘soak the rich’ rhetoric and schemes along the lines of Chavez’s - is the perceived jump in the gap between America’s wealthy and less-wealthy classes.  It’s bad enough to abuse Americans’ sense of social justice to turn ‘haves’ against ‘have-mores’.  But, by allowing themselves to be mislead, and often used, by an anti-democratic regime which thrives on the insecurities of actual poor people in a developing nation, America’s left demonstrates an even more dreadful lapse in character and judgment.

From the same Economist article:

“Mr Chávez proclaims that “being rich is bad”. He frequently lashes out at what he calls “the oligarchy”. Strange, then, that the streets of Caracas are clogged with big new 4×4s (Hummers are especially favoured), it is hard to get a table at the best restaurants, and art dealers and whisky importers have never had it so good. A new oligarchy seems to be rising in Venezuela on the back of the “Bolivarian Revolution“

This oligarchy, or “Boligarchy” as the article’s title cleverly posits, flies in the face of all the neo-Marxist rhetoric and confiscatory heavy-handedness many American leftists continue to gobble up eagerly, perhaps out of ignorance or perhaps out of a willingness to side with anyone who shares in their pathological obsession with hating George W Bush.

In fact, this is what those who support Hugo Chavez are encouraging:

“Mr Chávez claims to be pursuing economic nationalism and “endogenous development”. But farmers and manufacturers struggle against cheap imports. Though local dairy products are often missing from the supermarket shelves, Gouda and Emmenthal cheeses nestle beside Irish butter. The frozen chickens at Mercal, a government chain of subsidised grocery shops, are Brazilian. The importers who supply Mercal have grown rich. But Venezuela’s ranchers are becoming extinct, threatened by expropriations, land invasions and price controls, as well as by extortion and kidnappings by criminal gangs.“

And this:

“Venezuela’s RCTV International, the cable version of the TV network kicked off the air by President Hugo Chavez in May, faces shutdown in the country at midnight unless it submits to government regulation.“

And this:

“President Hugo Chavez has said that foreigners who publicly criticize him or his government while visiting Venezuela will be expelled from the country.”

We agree with the Plame-Wilsons on something, just not the way they mean it

The lawsuit brought by ex-CIA agent Valerie Plame and her disgraced husband Joe Wilson has been dismissed. 

The Plame-Wilsons, pictured everywhere including People, Time, Newsweek and the cover of Vanity Fair, just wanted to remain anonymous, and write books about their lives, have movies made from those books and go on nearly every talk show, had their case dismissed on jurisdictional grounds.

They, seeking their privacy and just wanting to return to a normal life, released a statement to the press about the dismissal:

“We brought this suit because we strongly believe that politicizing intelligence ultimately serves only to undermine the security of our nation.” - Joe Wilson said

Funny, that’s kind of exactly what they’ve made a living doing the past few years.  Not just them, the entire Democratic Party has spent the last 5 years politicizing national security for personal gain.

Democrats, more interested in scoring political points than defending our nation from our enemies, have decided the US Senate is as good a place as any to follow the marching orders of George Soros and moveon.org.

They have chosen tonight to make a stand against, well, our military and the Constitution, setting up for a ’round the clock bitch session tailor made for the CSPAN and the main stream media to lap up like gravy.  Every Democrat will be on the floor at some point with their sound bites ready to go, written, undoubtedly, by moveon, DailyKos and every other anti-freedom group out there.  Expect them to be focus grouped to death, brief and have very little to do with reality, just the way the Left likes their policy.

Like any good socialist surrender monkey, each Democrat Senator has been given their marching orders by Majority Leader Harry Reid.  They include:

–”Senate Democrats will tape TV feeds and actualities back to their home states.”

–”Outside groups will hold a ‘call to action’ event Tuesday night to call on Republicans to end their Iraq filibuster.”

–”Iraq veterans will make visits to Senate offices asking Republican Senators to allow an up or down vote on the Levin-Reed Amendment.”

–”Center for American Progress will live-blog the all night session.”

–”Senate Democrats will conduct interviews on national cable and radio.”

–”The Steering and Outreach Committee will release a video of Iraq veterans and military families calling for a change of course in Iraq.”

We don’t know about you, but we find it curious how the Center for American Progress can coordinate with the Democrats on this since they are 501(c)(3), a charitable organization (they also have a (c)(4), but if any (c)(3) employees contribute, there’s a problem.  And it also shows how they are NOT non-partisan).  Coordination of this sort should immediately disqualify their tax-exempt status.  But that’s just us, we follow the law.

Keith Ellison, buy a history book!

Democrats will say anything, and we mean ANYTHING, to appease their radical, United States hating, George Soros sucking up to base.  That’s not anything new, sucking up to your base is a time honored tradition in Washington and Republicans can be just as guilty of it, too.  The only difference is Democrats actually mean it.We aren’t saying Democrats hate America, we just report what they say and allow the reader to draw that obvious conclusion.

Case in point, Freshman Congressman Keith Ellison.  Clearly not a student of history, he’s also a stranger to truth. 

Over the weekend, Congressman Ellison, the only Muslim Member of the House, compared President Bush to Adolf Hitler, a favorite comparison for people on the Left.

The Congressman said:

“It’s almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that,” Mr. Ellison said. “After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted.”

Congressman Ellison, you are an idiot.  The same goes for anyone who compares ANY American President to Hitler.

The reasons are so obvious that they don’t need to be recounted here or anywhere, except, it seems, in the Democrat’s Cloak Room. 

Mr. Ellison, if Bush were Hitler, or anywhere close to Hitler or the totalitarian you radical left-wing fascists try to paint him, wouldn’t you have been silenced long ago?  Although you keeping your mouth shut probably isn’t such a bad idea for you politically since you keep sticking your foot in it.

All of you left-wing nutjobs constantly complain about how you’ve lost your civil liberties because of the USAPATRIOT Act, but it never seems to occur to you, or your audience, at least, that you wouldn’t be able to be out in public speaking your lies were it remotely true.
